Victory Over Violence: 3rd Annual Gala Event

At this year’s 3rd Annual Gala, our Executive Director Dr. Roz Roach honoured former residents of the Healing Place who have re-invented their lives and become independent and self-sufficient members of the community.

The VOV Gala looks looks forward to becoming a fixture on Toronto’s social event calendar. Guests from the music, art, design, fashion, and corporate communities enjoyed cocktails, and dancing along with photography installations, spoken word, an amazing silent auction and performances by cutting edge contemporary Canadian artists.

Dr. Roz’s Healing Place is a centre for empowerment and healing that works towards the eradication of violence against women and their children locally, nationally and globally. The Victory Over Violence gala celebrates the lives of the women we change and empower. Our goal is to raise funds to sustain the work the centre does for the community and to support our capital campaign to build The Changa House, a centre for youth and youth-at-risk.
