Dr. Roz’s Healing Place marks The National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence against Women
December 1, 2011: Toronto – On December 6th 2011, Dr. Roz’s Healing Place will be hosting a ceremony to commemorate the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence against Women. On this day we will be paying tribute to the 14 women who were murdered in the 1989 Massacre at Ecole Polytechique in Montreal. This Ceremony titled ‘We Remember’ will include a special remembrance tribute by the women and residents of Dr. Roz’s Healing place along with a special address by Executive Director, Dr. Roz Roach on ‘A Call to Action”!
“The women we will be remembering had no choice in whether to live or die. We want to work towards making sure that this never happens to another woman again,” says Dr. Roach.
