We are excited to offer a free 3D printing program for youth, designed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of 3D design and printing in a beginner-friendly environment. This program encourages creativity, problem-solving, and most importantly, having fun with your designs.

Schedule: Wednesdays from 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM
Ages: 8+
Capacity: Limited to 10 participants per session
Due to limited space and workers, registration is required on a weekly basis. This ensures a more focused and interactive experience while giving more youth the opportunity to participate.
What Participants Will Learn
This beginner program follows a 7-week course where students build their skills step by step through creative challenges:
Week 1: Getting Comfortable in Tinkercad
Create a personalized name tag or keychain while learning basic navigation, shapes, resizing, and text.
Week 2: Shape Building
Design a usable object like a phone stand or pencil holder while learning alignment, duplication, and design.
Week 3: Symmetry & Cutting
Build a cookie cutter or stamp using the hole tool.
Week 4: Designing for Use
Create a custom box and lid while learning measurements, and how parts fit together.
Week 5: Moving objects
Design a spinning fidget or wheel system while exploring moving parts and assembly.
Week 6: Problem-Solving Design
Develop a real-world helpful item using all previously learned skills.
Week 7 (Optional): Personal Project & Showcase
Bring your own idea to life and present your design, explaining your process and improvements.
